Why didn't the democrats do all of the amazing things they said they were going to do in 2009?

Dems said they'd keep the economy from imploding, and they did. They also passed sweeping financial reform & the ACA.

You expected a miraculous recovery from the greatest looting spree in the history of finance?

like regular Wall St, get gay marriage legalized, overturn Don't Ask/Don't Tell, appoint several liberal Supreme Court justices, and improve access to health care for millions of Americans?

Disagree. It protects very large financial entities from smaller competitors. lol

Hillary supports a "21st century" Glass-Steagall - meaning one written by the very large finance banks that give her millions to tell them how great they are.

So why do the mega banks want to repeal Dodd-Frank if it protects them?

You mean like pass Dodd frank, the largest financial reform bill?

Again, I gotta ask, if we knows the seems support a reinstatement of glass steagall and the repubs now apparently do, why aren't they introducing legislation right now?

For some reason that quotation never even entered your mind and instead you wondered why dems didn't do more. Hmm...I wonder why?

Why would I? It had already been mentioned. Looks like the just us department finally picked up a banker, I wonder if they'll just cut them loose again like last time because prosecution "could threaten the health of our economy."

This whole situation is a win from my point of view.

Because like the GOP's, their promises are generally just what they think will gain them power.

like regular Wall St, get gay marriage legalized, overturn Don't Ask/Don't Tell, appoint several liberal Supreme Court justices, and improve access to health care for millions of Americans?
They have improved my access to health care so much that I have no insurance until I have spent six grand, on top of my premiums, and my coverage has gotten progressively worse. Our Blue Cross Blue Shield increase this year was 67% - not exactly affordable. So we switched to United Health Care, with yet another big hike in deductible and NO limit to out-of-network expenditures.

Frankly, I like it better when they lie to me than when they help me.

So why do the mega banks want to repeal Dodd-Frank if it protects them?
They don't, as indicated by their massive support for the woman who lists it as an accomplishment.
