I hope they break NPR. With all the media outlets in the country today, there is no need for a taxpayer funded one. And if there is one, it should make some attempt to represent the variety of opinions present in America, and not just be a foaming at the mouth liberal mouthpiece.

I hope they fall down and break their crown. You scared of another opinion that differs from yours??

No, and that's why you'd have to be a dumbass to equate NPR as the sole voice of liberal opinion. I just think that in the age of thousands of TV stations and satellite radio, any form of publically funded radio has outlived its usefulness. Furthermore, if it has to be around, Ii think it should represent some of my views. And since the GOP is in power right now, of course they are going to use their power to shape NPR into a more conservative friendly institution.

Out in the sticks where I live most of the radio stations and all the TV channels , even the local CBS news anchors are heavily slanted to the right. I enjoy being able to watch/listen to a different viewpoint.

IMO we need publiclly funded media now more then ever, commercial corporate anything sucks and is always uninspired except for when they catch on occasionally to something real they can emulate until they whitewash it beyond all recognition in the never ending drive for profit versuses substance -one of the worst byproducts of soulless capitalism run amok.
