But, he has no foreign policy chops. And I still don't like his no tax on corps idea, puts him in bed with big business.

Well, what's the logic behind his idea for no taxes on corp? The economy needs a lift, and the more money corps/businesses have, the more they can hire and grow.

Did Obama have any foreign policy chops?

I watched bits of the debate here-n-there. It struck me as amatuerish; no one seemed Presidential to me. I wasn't impressed. I've seen debates with people running for city council that seemed more impressive.

Contrary to the talking heads, I think the winners were those that didn't bother to show up.

Reading through the posts here at least it looks like GJ had some good ideas.

As finance and tax accounting professional I think there are so many benefits to eliminating corp taxation that even progressives would love it they understood it.

You'd have to tweak a couple of things: (1) no more low tax rates on dividends and (2) You couldn't allow corp's to just hold on to their profits thereby escaping tax; you'd have to require profits be distributed either in fact or just reporting them to S/H's.

Johnson seems worth keeping an eye on. Fiscally conservative and socially liberal and his state sure liked him well enough.

If he is as he appears to be and gets nominated Obama has serious competition.

If GJ doesn't get the nomination I sure hope he ends up on the ticket as VP.

Yes. But the losers think that attending a debate this early will help them.

The republicans are in chaos and it's going to take some time to go through the field and sort things out. I'd like a viable alternative.

I'm pretty set on GJ. I think he's going to shine through once people start understanding he's actually got experience and can walk the walk. Everyone else is just saying what they think they would do. GJ's track record shows he does what he says he will, and he's good at it.
