BTW - It isn't the same thing when its 50-1. Yes Clinton campaign raised the question but when there was no evidence they dropped it.

It was Republicans that pressed the black Kenyan thing.

Democrats kept this going after Clinton, not republicans. Some republicans eventually came along to carry the torch but it was long after the fire had been started. Also, when did the black Kenyan thing ever come up? Kenyan perhaps, but who has ever used black Kenyan other than your racist self?

I'd think there are significant numbers of Birthers for whom race is a strong determining factor. If you truly hate someone for something beyond their control, signing on to everything against them seems a likely step.

Personally race is one big reason I opposed the Birther movement in its infancy. When you have the first serious black Presidential candidate after 42 pairs of white men*, disqualifying him after he becomes a force would be a very bad thing. How could blacks recognize the legitimacy of our government were that to happen? Given that his mother is unquestionably an American, even were he born on the moon he would be a natural born citizen by the spirit of the law; only the technicality of the law being poorly written would have denied him that. If we allowed such a technicality to disqualify the first black Presidential candidate with a chance at winning, how could we retain any legitimacy as a nation?

*I'm granting Washington an honorary opponent to keep things simple - a practice I seem to have negated by writing this explanation . . .

So if I tell everyone I am Irish/German that makes me less American? Obama's father's family hails from Kenya. Saying he is Kenyan is no more than saying you hail from some European nation.

Somehow though, you seem to be fixated on race. So by saying he is Kenyan that is somehow calling him black and therefore racist. Hmm, so calling someone Chinese, Indian, Irish, Spanish, Brazilian, Canadian must also be racist, amiright?
