Gooooooooooo Twins!!!

The Twins just came back from a 6-1 deficit to beat the White Sox in extra innings, taking the lead in the AL Central in the process.

If you're any kind of a baseball fan (and not a White Sox fan), you gotta love this story. The Twins just don't know how to quit. Woo hoo!!!

I am loving the Twins march into 1st place. Mets fan here. I am also loving Denard Span's production for my fantasy team. 🙂 If they reach the postseason they can be dangerous with that lineup.

I don't like the Twins against anyone in the postseason - AL. Seriously, they don't match up...

Yeah, I'm a Sox fan and what a horrid series. I definitely don't count us out yet as I can easily see us winning the next 4 games at home. The Sox are 9-0 against the Indians at home this year, and 6-2 at home against Detroit.

Remember, also, that the Twins will be playing the Royals at the Metrodome, and that's very good news for them. Plus they're coming off a 4-game winning streak, not a 3-game losing streak.

We have a good chance now of getting to the ALDS, but I doubt we'll beat either the Rays or the Red Sox (whichever we end up playing). We have a shot at it but Minnesota will definitely be the underdog in the playoffs, like they usually are. I'd love for them to make it to the ALCS for once, but we might just have to settle for another division win and then a trip back home.

It's not over just yet.

Yeah, I was thinking about going to the game tomorrow, but don't think it's going to happen. I'll try to go tuesday though should they win tomorrow.

What a year the Twins have had. They lost Santana and Hunter in the off season and are still no worse than a playoff game for the division. Most experts would not have given them any chance at all once Santana left.

They really didn't have a chance in the eyes of the experts at the start of the year. Livan Hernandez was the only "proven" starting pitcher in the rotation, and he's on the DL. Young pitching stepping up, along with young role players stepping up...and this team has been pretty fun to watch all year.

I'm happy even if they miss the playoffs, as next year should be a pretty good year either way.

But, GO TIGERS! for tomorrow anyway. 😛
