Way to go Dusty and Co. I didn't think they had a chance. Out of them and the A's I would have thought the A's would have gone one seeing that the A's were playing a weak opponent and the Giants were playing the best in the NL. Bonds 3 homeruns in the Division series wooooot!

What a great games, Ortiz pitched very well, so did both bullpens. A nailbiter all the way, and I thought I was gonna get a heartattack. Congrats to the Giants! I'm sooooo happy!

I just got back from the game. I am a huge Giants fan. I was just so glad they won.

Atlanta fans really need to get their heads out of their butts. People were streaming for the exits at the end of the 8th inning.

I stood there with my SF hat on and shook my head at them. They were only down two and had the top of their lineup coming up in the bottom of the inning.

At any rate, WOO! I was so excited and still am. GO GIANTS!

I'm not a baseball fan (live in Atlanta) and all I can say is thank god it's over. I get so sick of hearing about the damn braves!!!

Now I can listen to my talk radio on the way home from work w/out being interrupted by Braves Talk! :D

*sigh* Damn Braves. How can they be so good in the regular season and such chumps in the post? It's pathetic. I'm sick of them doing this to me and the rest of the fans every year.

Oh well....at least the Yankees lost. :D

Braves fans should stop raggin' on the Yanks. Try filling up your stadium in the playoffs before you go dissing anyone else.

The 4 best teams go out in the 1st round and the 4 weaker teams move on. Baseball is just too random a game for life to be decided by a short series. Toss in enough extra rounds and anyone has a chance based on one hot pitcher in one critical game. I'm a Yankees fan that now rooting for the Cards just because of what they've gone through this year, but at least part of me is hoping to see an Angels vs Giants World Series. It'd serve baseball right that in this era of lazy whiny greedy players, live ball, tiny parks, steroids, 250 million dollar players on last place teams, water-down pitching and soaring ticket prices and crappy lukewarm beer for $6 a cup they got stuck with a Series that nobody east of Sacramento would want to watch. I've love to see the ratings in the dumps which is where most of baseball belongs.

Oh stop whining. Your Yankees which have the highest payroll in the Majors went out in 4 and now you are bellyaching like a little girl. The Halos just like the Twins beat the Favorite so that makes them better than either the Yanks or the A's..well at least this year. As far as Atlanta was concerned.. they were as usual over-rated. The Cards won because the DBacks were decimated with injuries

LOL, if that was true, then you can consider New York a dump too, for nobody west of the Hudson river cared to watch that boring POS 2000 WorldSeries.

I certainly hope so, but I wouldn't uncork the champagne yet. I love the Giants. I am waiting to see if the pitching is going to hold up. I love Rodriguez/Worrell/Nen coming out of the bullpen. If they can keep getting good performances from their starters they may find themselves in the World Series.

I have been a Giants fan since I was 12 (1987) and I am having a hard time believing what I am seeing right now.

At any rate, GO GIANTS! :D
