Google's Froogle changed to Product Search?

Maybe this is just so everything matches. Now we have google earth, google maps, google weather, google videos, google checkout, and now google products.... bleh give me froogle back... hmm or google stuff might be better :p

I noticed this last night. It confused and angered me! I thought Froogle was gone. :|

gmail is still in beta too isn't it? it really bugs me when software is just in a perpetual beta state... it's really meaningless at that point

Constant state of development and improvement. It will always be in beta.

Some companies, like Microsoft, or Google in this instance have no desire to actually name a product, they're content to merely describe its function. Naming your product "Windows Media Player" or "Google Product Search" is such a cop out. If auto manufacturers followed suit, we'd have the Ford Auto or the BMW Driving Machine. I really hate boring or uninspired names.

It appears to work exactly the same. What does the name matter, if the product is free and works properly.
