GoogleDocs slows down my computers

I've been using Google Docs for a while, but I've been having problems lately. If I leave it open, my computer gets slower and slower with time. After 10 minutes, the browser might be using 95% of my CPU and my computer is unusable.

I've seen this behavior on my desktop, laptop, and computers at my school lab.

Anybody else having this problem?

Firefox 3.6 on my desktop and laptop. A slightly older Firefox on the school lab computers.

I just upload to my gmail account, but I use Office for the work.
Also running Chrome.

Maybe gmail is trying to sabotage your Firefox to get you to switch.

Well the whole point of Google Docs is collaboration.
