I want to make google my default search engine when keywords are entered into the Address bar of IE. I had a registry edit for this that works in win2k pro but doesn't work in XP. ANyone know an alternate way of doing this?

thanks,

I had the same question 2 months ago - DrVos is right - the easiest solution is to just install the Google tool bar. Then you don't have to diddle with anything.

Click on the magnifying glass in IE, then click on the Customize button in the search window, then in the lower left click on Autosearch settings, and google should be listed as an option.
