Google voice invite?

Google has been doling out invites to existing users, similarly to what they did with gmail accounts back in the day. However, I haven't seen the invite come across, so I'm not sure if there is a delay or if Abaez typed my account in incorrectly 🙂

I'm on Google Voice - I've been using it since it was Grandcentral.com before Google acquired it - and I've never seen that they've given me an invite to give out. Do they send you an email or is there a button somewhere for getting invites to give out?

That I'm not sure of. I do know that they are passing out invite privileges to existing users in waves.

i used their website to sign up for an invite and I got it within a couple of weeks.

Just log in and on the bottom left it list how many invites you have, click there to give out.

Invite just came through. Won't let me sign up via my droid, which I thought was odd. Guess I'll have to wait till I get home. If I only have a single line, should I sign up "using an existing number" instead of creating a brand new one?

Well, it depends, use your existing number and

. If you choose to use Google Voice with your existing number, you won't get some features (like call screening and recording)

Or get a gv number and have everything.
