DAMN STRAIGHT! I'm not telling anyone who celebrates Kwanzaa that they have to put a white face on their idols. And he's right, I don't see people making Jews change their traditions. At some point, you've got to stand up and say something, or before you know it, your identity is replaced with someone else's. This nation was supposed to be the "melting pot" where everyone can be who they want to be and can celebrate their beliefs no matter where they came from, Christians, Jews and Muslims alike. Hey! I agree. However, being that Google is not a religious website, I don't see how they are acting PC. IT'S NOT A CHRISTIAN WEBSITE. Why would they have a christian theme? Maybe they themselves are not even christian?

I'm not dowing Google for it, I think it's quite creative actually. I am however downing anyone who gave any pressure upon them at any time to NOT put Santa or anything that clearly represents the Christian holiday of Christmas. I am almost certain that someone sat down at some point and decided that if they used anything even remotely Christian in nature, that they'd have to deal with someone over it.

Christians believe in buying gifts for Christmas? Hmm, I was stuck going to church with my parents for a few years and I never heard of that particular belief. I mean, I know people, even Christians, like to buy gifts but I didn't know that was some sort of religious practice that they all had to adhere to 😕 Oh, I get it. In fact, I think the whole point of my post passed slightly over your head. My point is this: A holiday with religious origins spurs the biggest financial shot in the arm our nation has all year and it does this every year. A day with religious origins, mixes with business, and the results are spectacular. Therefore, it would appear there are instances where religion and business mix. Do you understand now?

Actually, I'm Christian myself and I'm incredibly offended by your statement. I don't expect the rest of the world to stop so that I can celebrate the second-most-important holiday in my religion. I'm THANKFUL that I live in a country where I can celebrate my religion the way I want to, without having to do it in secret, or with the risk of getting arrested, killed, or whatever because of my religion. And your statement comes darned close to "whatever" in my book.

Looking up things on Google is NOT a part of my religious celebrating. Therefore I don't care what they have on their logo - and in fact, they DID honor Christianity, plus Hannukah and Kwanzaa and God knows what else by choosing this time to put a cute multi-day cartoon up. So I'll take that as intended, and let go.
