sorry u guys will have to babelfish it... its portuguese!

in a nuthsell: google hired some microsoft dude and they might be working on their own operating system, which will probably be based on an existing OS... (can anyone say linux)

Google's been gobblin' up OS guys for a while. I'm pretty sure Niels Provos has been with them for a while, and I think NetBSD would make a better base anyhow. Not going to happen.

EXACTLY! competition fosters innovation

For Microsoft, competition causes flustering and hiccups. Linux scared them for a bit, and probably still does.
