You see what the area looks like. It's good if you're house hunting or something.

Amazon's A9 had this forever ago, but they got rid of it about a year ago. Their pictures were much, much clearer too. I used it quite often.

That said, I saw the vehicle Google uses to do the photography a couple months ago here in Manhattan. Its a big white van with a round turret on the roof that houses the cameras. Turret has plexiglas 360 degrees around. I went up and down my route that day (saw it on my walk to the subway), but didn't see myself, unfortunately. The van was stopped when I saw it though.

Noodles 28 relocated about a year ago. They are no longer on 28th. Don't remember if its 29th or 30th though.

Something IS funky there though, the pictures driving down 3rd ave clicking arrows have a couple jumps back & forth.

Errr...I think it might be useful if someone tells you to meet them at 1720 Main Street, you could check out Street View so that when you're driving, you're looking for the building and not the street number

They are using a technology developed by Immersive Media. They demonstrated their 12 headed (I think that was right) camera to my group a couple years ago, but stills and full motion video. Very cool stuff.
