Have you also tried Playstation Now? I'm curious if Now is any good.

I did try it out during their beta period, but that was quite a while ago. I can't recall the visual quality, but I tried out this (PS3?) game which was pretty much a twin-stick shooter in a zombie-infested area. I figured that if anything would help me determine if latency was an issue, a fast-paced, twin-stick shooter would work pretty well, and honestly... I thought it was fine overall. Although, I might not be as sensitive as some are to latency. I did once stream Resogun from my PS4 remotely to my Vita while the Vita was connected to my phone's LTE hotspot, and I had no complaints.

I think the biggest downside to PlayStation Now is just that it's an extra fee on top of PlayStation Plus. It makes me wonder if Sony will take a look at Microsoft's GamePass Ultimate program and consider something similar. How about PS++?

@Aikouka I want OMD3 as well.

Fond memories of holding some top tier scores in OMD1 but never got into OMD2 as much because of the coop bent and not having anyone to really play with. Now my son is getting old enough to grind up some Orcs and we've got everything but... Stadia. And zero chance I ever give money Google for that. It's six months to two years away from getting rebranded/repurposed/absorbed/abandoned.

Which reminds me that OMD2 exists and my wifes Steam account has the other copy, I believe. Hmm... :)

I don't think I ever had top-tier scores in the first game, but I did enjoy playing the second game quite a bit. Part of the reason for wanting to play it is exactly what you say... it's a pretty good co-op game! Although, it is a little frenetic, and that hasn't gone over too well in the past with games like Overcooked. (Personally, I've grown to enjoy the idea of getting better at a level/mechanic.)

I was surprised that Sony didn't have something similar to GamePass Ultimate. I'm glad to hear that Now works well, maybe I'll give it a try.

Well, the classics collection is what, 20+ AAA games you have access to on PS5? And their monthly game drops are really significant. I've had some fun with some of the Gold games but they are typically either much older or further off the beaten path than a title like Control Ultimate Edition.

I feel like at least right now, PS+ is closer to Game Pass Ultimate than it is to Gold. Maybe if there was a Game Pass Starter Edition it would be a better comparison ;)

I have PS+, and agree that it's a great value. It's PS Now that I had issues with. Have you tried it?

After terminating my Stadia Pro subscription months and months ago, directly due to lack of titles to play, I kind of figured it was going to wind up in the Google graveyard. Now, it might get there much sooner than I was thinking haha.

Really liked the concept of Stadia/gaming thin client, but they focused way too much on the tech behind it and not enough on the development side. Shame, because it was a great idea on paper but without content there's kind of no point.
