Google Sidebar steals focus intermittently

Upon a reboot or restart of Google Desktop the focus of windows will go back and forth between the Google Sidebar (though it's hard to tell) and the window that actually had focus and this goes on for at least 5 minutes.

So if Start Up is finished, all gadgets are loaded, system tray settles, no more hour glass,
and I start Firefox and start typing a Google, 2 sec in focus goes elsewhere, then back to Firefox in another 2 seconds. Repeat.

I can just sit there watching Firefox (or notepad or word or whatever) while focus goes in and out of the intended focused window.

If I kill Google desktop, the problem disappears.

Any ideas?

Thanks
