ez money for Google! I mean how can it affect the OS itself besides the name? Are we gonna get Kit Kat ads pushed every 15 mins or something?

I dunno, I think there are probably as many people who know what key lime pie tastes like (awesomeness) as how many that know what an eclair is

Selling out is the compromising of integrity, morality, or principles in exchange for personal gain, such as money.

Don't really see how they are compromising anything unless they rename internal parts of Android after other commercial products like the Nestle Play Store or something similar. Or you have to eat a Kitkat bar on screen instead of swiping to unlock.

If the contract was with a huge orange or lettuce growers company for something like the "Romaine" OS would it be be any better being associated with healthy foods? Like a "green" appoach to the marketing.

Mandatory screen lock in Android 4.4, aka "KitKat"

screen can only be unlocked by entering a 16 digit code found inside of a kitkat wrapper.

each code can only be used once, so stock up on KitKat bars!

Say what you want about this cross promotion, but I'm going to be pissed if it doesn't come with some kind of animated KitKat wallpaper for my Nexus 7 :)

Yeah, I am with everyone else and not seeing the "sell out" spin. Are you just a mad Apple fan, or do you hate Kit Kat bars? Not to mention Google's main source of revenue is "selling out" as they are an advertising firm, so even if Nestle had paid them I wouldn't bat an eye, because that is the majority of their revenue, ads.
