google selling galaxy nexus direct...more to come?

That's awesome. It's things like this that make me ask myself "Is keeping unlimited data on Verizon worth all this...?"

(Yes, it is.)

Oh hell yes, that is awsome! Makes swapping away from post paid even more worth it. Too bad it isn't free shipping.

I imagine this is targeted towards developers?

Google sold the Nexus One directly but I don't think they've done that since then.

But a really good price. Why is this thing $300 with a contract through Verizon?

Because Verizon rips it's customer off? It's pure LOL funny that someone would pay Verizon $300 + $38 activation fee + a 2 year contract vs spending $100 or so more and going prepaid.... such a scam the cellular companies have going.

I don't care about the SIII btw, and I would prefer a Nexus phone.

Anyone care to stop me?

Get it. What are you still waiting for?
If I was in your position, I'd do the same instantly.

Some people here clearly don't care about software support based on the WP7/8 upgrade comments. But I do.

This is so much better than those Amazon and newegg deals because it isn't an open box Asian version & therefore has a warranty.

I'd love to do this and put it on Simple Mobile. Too bad I'd owe Verizon like a billion dollars to early term all of my family accounts.
