Google search using 'gg' in address bar: still possible in ie6?

I remember for ie 5 one could download the addons. One allowed you to access various search engines with abreviations like gg or av.

There are no such addons for ie6. I tried using 'gg' in ie 6 but it sent me to MS's search page. No thanks MS. I'll take google.

Anyone know how to make this work?

I know there are reghack's to make google your search engine, but my policy is to not directly touch the registry for trivial matters. Going to my google bookmark ain't that big of a deal. 🙂

Thanks

if you are using XP, get Powertoys (TweakUI) and set it up there.
