Guess I'd better start using it.

Just realized I signed up for Venmo while drunk and can't remember the password.

Just do a face-plant into*your keyboard.

That's your password.

Very cool feature that probably everybody knows about: You can shop for apps at the play store and just push them onto your phone. No need to shop on the little screen. I suppose that is huge for me since my eyes are getting there and I'm new to the 'small screen' :p

Some nice games and apps the last couple of days. I pretty much bought everything the past 3 days. Looking forward to trying Nova Launcher Prime and the Dark Knight Rises. I'm down to about $10 on the free Google PlayStore credit. Between the 10 cents, 40 cents, and now this 25 cents sale, I have crapload of paid Android apps and games.

This five day 25 cents sale was really iPhone 5 response sale. Thanks Apple and Google. I'm set for a long time.

Same here. (The majority of which I'll probably rarely use or play.)

It's gotta suck for regular app sales during these things- I bet a lot of people hold off on purchasing anything until they're sure it won't show up the next day for a few cents.

Wish it was the paid version of Apex Launcher but I bought Nova Prime anyway. Worth having for 25 cents for sure

Woot Batman!

Had been wanting to play this, and Mass Effect. 50c for both is a hell of a deal even if they turn out to suck.

How long does it take for Google to issue refunds?

I had a $21 Google Play gift card remaining and clicked okay to buy an app without changing payment which brought my gift card down to $20.75
I don't want to be left with an odd dollar quantity remaining on my Google Gift card.
I immediately refunded the app and repaid it using my CC...But my Google Gift card still says $20.75...This was just 5 minutes ago that this whole process happened.
Never done a refund through Google Play before so I was unsure of the process or usual turnover time.

Also, If you have pennies on the dollar remaining and you want to buy something that's more expensive, how does that work? Or assume you have $2 gift card remaining and want to buy a $4 app.
Does it take the balance and you pay the rest with your other form of payment? Or does it just sit there and not allow you to use the remaining gift card balance until you buy another Google Play gift card to replenish it or buy a software that's less than your remaining balance?

I was purposely avoiding apps that end in odd amount so I will have zero remaining.
I avoided all *.99 apps, anything that doesn't add up to $1 even, and only bought Google Play apps on sale today in a group of fours(0.25cents x 4 = $1) so I will have no odd dollar amounts remaining.

It takes a while. When I refunded an app it took about an hour. I'd expect it to be longer at the moment because of the sale.

Also, that's a little bit obsessive...

If it's the former, then yes this whole thing is obsessive and was much ado about nothing.
If it's the later, then there is nothing obsessive about it at all.

The same exact scenario will occur whether you have $0.25, $1.64, $4.89, or $14.92 on your gift card remaining and want to purchase a $15 game(FF3).

If I get it to an even number(multiple of $5.00's), I'll just use it for Google Voice.
I spend more money calling using Google Voice internationally than buying apps from Google Play.

If you have a choice as to payment type, why is this a problem? You just save the card for a cheaper purchase.

If you get to the point where nothing you want to buy is less than the value of the gift card, is it really worth obsessing over the value of the gift card?

Also, your argument applies to round numbers as well. Say your $20 card. What if you buy an app that costs $5. Now you have $15. What if you want to buy a $16 app? You're SoL.

1.) Yes.

2.) Not really because I can buy Google Voice credit in $5 increments and charge that $16 app to my CC instead.

***EDIT***
Balance has been updated to $21.00. That was quicker than I expected.

So then just buy 4 apps and charge the rest as Google Voice credit. Surely over these several days there must be 4 apps that you'd want. And even if you're left with 75c left over, so what? It's only 75 cents.

EDIT: And if you do obsess over 75c and actually getting upset over the thought of losing 75c to the point where you wouldn't buy an app you'd otherwise have to pay at least 4x as much for, we're really getting into obsessive-compulsive character traits here.

Today is Google's last day of app sales which makes your "just buy 4 apps" suggestion completely moot because I already bought everything I wanted and they won't offer 25c app sales tomorrow.

When you pay for something that costs $x.25 at the cash register, you tell your cashier at Wal-Mart, Target, CVS, or BestBuy store to keep your 75c change? Yeah, right.

You won't get anywhere with this. You can keep arguing with me all you want, you're just wasting your time.
To me, a penny is not worth obsessing over. 75 cents? Absolutely.

Didn't notice that. My apologies.

If it was with a gift card, yes.

Alright.
