Think of it as an AOSP ROM where everything works and you get the option of a decent camera and the proprietary stuff like multi view, etc ;)

got a link for one of those?

My concern is that all of these ROMs are like Bob's ROM that he whipped up when he was bored on a Friday night. All projects start off ambitious and with lots of updates, but then wear off.

Have you guys tried using the Greenify app? It helps with battery life.

I use it but I don't think it's a great solution. The root cause is still misbehaving apps. Plus, even though Facebook causes wakelocks its not all that bad overall on battery. Google Now alone will drain more battery.

Furthermore, you should be able to control sync settings in apps to prevent excessive wakes. There are other apps that just flat out misbehave like Line which I understand Greenify helps.

Where do you see 63?
Fail boat.
I gave my brother my Nexus 7 for a day and he must have installed some battery app that sat to the left of the notification window. It was blue and a circle with the number in it (and no, it's not CM because it's completely stock). Will have to check when I get home later.
