Has anyone used Google Music? How is it? Does anyone have any invites lying around?

I've read some positive things about it thus far, and streaming songs to a mobile device sounds awesome (surprised this isn't a feature of iCloud...).

It seems to work fine - I don't think there are invites for it, though; I applied for the beta and got in a few weeks later.

I applied and got in a week later. Uploading your music takes forever, but the service works. It's rather basic. No equalizer, etc. Also no DLNA support like the Android player.

I just got in on the Google Music beta today. Seems like it will take weeks to months for me to upload all of my music. Is there anything other than the basic playing-my-own-music thing that I should look into?

I've been using it for awhile. There are a couple of add-ons that can be helpful.

Google Music Plus adds a shortcut to play/stop/skip from any tab in chrome as well as lyrics, artist bio, and lastFM support to GoogleMusic.

also Magnifier is a blog google just started that highlights different artists every week and free songs every day that you can add to Google Music for free.

Also with the recent court ruling about using master copies of files being legal Google Music will hopefully be updated so that you wont need to upload every song just the ones that you have that are unique.

i love it. it did take a while to get all my music there, but that was to be expected.
