Full support for turn by turn and voice, coming later this year. Search works and can return reviews for places.

Wonder what the limits of it will be.

Probably have to pre-cache the area you're going. I would hope they make it a bit more user friendly instead of opening the Maps app, tapping the search bar, and then proceeding to tap "save offline map" or whatever it is.

The problem with Here is that it really isn't smart when it comes to America, and it doesn't have as many POIs as Google Maps. When Here was only on Windows phones, I tried to use it, but I ended up hating every second if it, and it was one of my top reasons why I switched back to Android.

I hope the offline maps download will be done by cities/states rather than the current way of doing offline maps that.
