You can now zoom in a lot closer on the satellite imaging. The old closest zoom level is now number 3, doesnt work where my house is but works in a lot of other places. Not sure when this happened, but this is interesting timing IMO due to Microsofts thing the other day. The Pyramid at Cal State Long Beach

This is the online version or the Google Earth one? Just a bit confused. I thought Google Earth had been updated.

nice...my house is much closer now too. it's about the same resolution as google maps is about teh same resolution as google earth now
 
Google map pics are over 5 years old in my area. Shows a field in areas were houses were built many years ago.
