Google knows too much?

Google seems to have far too much data about us. I think that much of this can be mitigated if they provide services to allow users to delete their records at anytime. They would of course need to destroy physical backups as well. Make it manual to change it so they can still make money from people who don't care about zero privacy. What do you guys think?
