And he would be with us still if he stuck to hookers and blow. Heroin, not even once.

Yea, cocaine's really harmless too, just ask Billy May's, John Entwistle, Shannon Hoon. Seriously though, cocaine attacks the heart right off the bat and is in general a cardiovascular nightmare, I'm not saying Heroin's any better but if your needing to inject anything to get a buzz than serious issues are abound no matter what drug you have chosen..

Actually, heroin better for you body than cocaine, as long as you're safe (good heroin and don't OD). At least, that is what I've heard. You're better off using morphine, but I think that is harder to come by.

And that's always been the issue with heroin or cocaine, you never know how many times it's been "cut" and you never know what people use to dilute it down the line, by the time you snort or inject it it could be a mix of a whole bunch of unwanted shit.

Dude, Keith Richards does like a kilo a week and he's 100 years old.

Dude, we have no idea what his drug of choice was, is, or how much, if any, he's using now. What I said still stands though, cocaine wreaks havoc with the cardiovascular system big time. Do people die of heroin OD's?, yes, on a regular basis as well, were back to "you never know what strength your getting or what it's been cut with". In general though, people use a high-strength opiate in methadone every day for decades to keep off heroin, there is no such program available for cocaine addiction as there is no safe substitution to use.

Morphine (the opiate in heroin) is "legal" in the sense that is is available for use. And, it is likely much safer (especially if you're getting synthetic morphine) than a bag of smack from some hooker. It is harder, and therefore more expensive, to obtain morphine for a drug habit than it is to get heroin though.

If he was interesting in a heroine, he could easily just read about Joan of Arc.

Morphine is naturally occurring opiate in poppies. Diacetylmorphine is heroin. Big difference in potency, perceptive effects, molecule, etc

No he doesn't. He did, but he doesn't anymore. He stopped at some point. He doesn't mention exactly when other than to say "all my news is out of date"

Besides, the fact that he is still alive is just luck. It may be a rare event that someone lives long doing drugs. Rare events happen more often the more attempts are made to accomplish such a rare event. So out of millions of people doing drugs it's not hard to imagine a small subset would accomplish the rare event of surviving.

It's like the lottery, its a rare event to win but when you have millions playing someone may win. Doesn't make it a good idea nor likely an individual would win. Richards just won the lottery of drug use survival.

Forrest will be remembered above all as a loving husband and father [who loved doing heroin and banging hoes]

If this druggie were a gang banger I wonder if he would have gotten such hand-crafted full of sh!t eulogy in the article. Me wonders if Google execs are all heroin users now. :colbert:

Would she be charged if this were some ordinary John on the street and not a Google exec.?

To start, an ordinary John probably wouldn't have had a yacht equipped with a surveillance system... Maybe the motel 6 would though.
