Being in charge of turning Yahoo around is only slightly less challenging than turning RIM around at this point. That's one hell of a challenge to take on but if what I read is true she was going nowhere at Google short of the founders keeling over or leaving the company.

I gotta wonder what Yahoo has left in the tank. It's a huge news portal and hosts a lot of fantasy sports stuff, but how much more can you expand off of that? It's a site that has been withering away over the last 10 years and propped up on some of the most annoying ads I've seen on a site.

I agree that his shtick is getting old, but even the blind squirrel finds a nut every once in a while. It appears to me that on this occasion, he's found his nut.

He's welcome to whatever opinion he wants regarding the chick, as I am mine. And clearly I'm in the minority on this one, which is fine.

Last time I checked though, personal attacks weren't allowed. But if you have 60k posts, I guess anything goes.
 
Looking at just appearances, she could pass off as a 'former prom queen' soccer mom. Knowing what she does for a living, her successes, and the head she has? she's a frickin 10.

I'd love to be "going nowhere" at Google while raking in the kind of money she was making there (likely millions with bonuses, stock, etc).

Yahoo is probably not salvageable and this chick will fail too and tarnish her reputation. At least she'll have a nice golden parachute, I bet.

When failure is rewarded in the form of a 8 digit severance package I doubt anyone in that seat would care for that at this point.
