Interestingly, it looks like they may have adjusted prices at the last minute too.
"Upgrade to 20GB for less than $2.50/month." Then on the actual storage upgrade page, it's 20GB for $5/year. lol
All in all, the pricing is even better than the newly-upgraded SkyDrive, but none of those price levels appeared in original leaks and whatnot, so it looks like they one-upped Microsoft at the last minute.
It's funny watching these companies claw at each other, and shun some of their platforms in some ways yet embrace them in other ways. Also, it's highly annoying.
Regardless, go get your 5GB Google Drive. 🙂
