Before you say google it: https://support.google.com/drive/answer/2375102?p=trash_ww_new&hl=en&rd=1
I have tens of thosuands of files in a Google Drive. It has 15 GB taken up.
With Dropbox, you delete files from local folder, they all delete from Dropbox.
Not good old Google Drive. Instead they go to Trash. When you "empty trash" it only deletes what you see on-screen. I've now "emptied the trash" a dozen times and still have 99% taken up because it's only piecemeal. I've found a thread on google forums complaining of the same despicably behavior from this app.
Has anybody figured out an alternative here? This is really terrible behavior, and short of writing custom software that hits GD's API I'm not aware of proper way to clear out the trash in one shot.
