So? They did such a good job with their browser design that I hope it influences future browsers.

I like chrome for the layout. It uses a lot less screen real estate than IE, Firefox or Safari. That's important to me on my laptop with the 13.3" 1280x800 screen.

I just want something with a small, simple interface. Firefox Compact Themes tend to be overly cluttered and ugly.

ill always use opera. everything in FF and Chrome was basicially a stolen Opera idea that they implmented first

I love the Presto rendering engine, but let's face it - the reason Opera and Safari never really got up there was because of the UI not being as friendly as Mozilla's interface. Opera 10 looks promising though.

I like how each tab is a process so if one goes down it won't take all of them down with it.

No, its the industry default, i.e. it is installed with Windows.

By the end of this year, FF and IE are going neck and neck, but only if you combine IE 6 and IE 7, which are actually 2 very different browsers.

Those are just results for w3schools, a site mainly used by novice wannabe web programmers who mostly use Firefox nowadays - you shouldn't be using those for real world calculations.

I wouldn't rate a browser that's been out for years and years compared to a browser that's been out for a few months and already has some impact - I heard Chrome will have plugins as well, which means in a few months time all those plugins will probably get ported, or some other authors might create newer plugins - and the rendering engine speed far surpasses Gecko so Chrome is on a good path, but it's just not as mature.

Paint is included but that doesn't mean it can replace photoshop. What sucks just sucks.

How does IE suck?

Plus, Paint is never meant to compete with photoshop or just anything.

I guess I didn't realize there were interface differences between browsers that people preferred. You have back, forward, home, favorites/bookmarks? I never really noticed a difference.

Opera is the best but it has problems with a lot of websites despite being the most standards-compliant.
