Google chrome constant disk access

When I have chrome open the hard disk light on my notebook is either constantly blinking or steadily lit. Anyone else having this problem or is it just me..? FWIW running on P-M 1.86, 2GB ram and 100GB hard drive but seriously, how much resources can a web browser use 😕

i haven't pinned it down, but this was happening to me last night. it's not happening to me now, while i'm using chrome.

I'm seeing the exact same thing on my laptop. Back to Firefox until there's a fix as the disk access really bogs down the whole computer.

I was seeing same thing when I had Google desktop installed. it would occupy all my hard drives (it would create folder in each partition)

Uninstalling Google Desktop did not seem to fix it for me. Still constant hard disk access once Chrome starts.
