It actually already does - sort of.

If you use Gmail and get an email from a shipping company with a scheduled delivery date, it will recognize it and have an option to add it to your calendar in the right hand side. It also has a link to the tracking website.

I just got an email from UPS and on the right side:

Add to calendar
Scheduled Delivery:
