Goodfellas, or Casino, or Copland?

Yeah, I have to admit though, Copland was pretty good. A lot better than I thought it would be, but c'mon, it's Goodfellas fer crying out loud.

I voted for Copland. It's not a great movie, but it's not horrifically overrated like Goodfellas and Casino. I like most Scorsese but those two films seemed to glorify too much.

goodfellas. i like casino but it feels way, way more drawn out than goodfellas

also, every time i hear "layla" i get flashbacks to the goodfellas scenes with the song.

Hmm, I own both Goodfellas and Casino and have watched them many times. If someone said I had to get rid of one of them, after some deliberation I would probably choose to get rid of Goodfellas. There is just something about Casino I love, plus it brings back many good memories for me from when I watched it the first few times and I don't quite have that same attachment to Goodfellas.

Both great films though, in my opinion.

I enjoyed Copland as far as I can recall, but it's been ages since I last watched it, so can't really comment on it.

I liked goodfellas slightly more. Booth are trully great movies. I can't comment on copland as i haven't seen it. I think i'll go rent it over the weekend.

I'll vote Copland just because it doesn't get enough respect. Its a damn good movie, and Stallone of all people is really good in it.

For reference, all three movies are available on Netflix instant view.

Yeah, exactly. Goodfellas has this extra layer to it that the direction, music and editing gives. The long-shot at the club and the choreography of the "layla" scene are the two scenes that best exemplify this. I don't get this from Casino.

Well it is kind of, from Stallones's character's point of view.

😉
