I'm sure there will be a few issues for early adopters but overall Windows 7 has been getting excellent reviews and has been well tested leading up to the RTM build. I just switched 2 days ago and so far, everything is smooth.

By that same logic you should pull a perfectly good motor out of your car every 3 years because the manufacturer says so. Then you're happy because the new motor has only 7 problems, whereas the first motor had zero.

Gotta love the Kool-Aid drinkers.

Come and be one of us, inside of the loving embrace of win7 there is joy and harmony. The bits and bytes flow in rhythm to the flashing of hard drive lights. It is only a matter of time before you join and become one with the 7.

I have Vista AND Win7. I'm staying with Vista; I like it better.

no its not better, Vista is crap and have always been crap.

win7 is good though, finally said good bye to my winxp.

only had few compatibility problem w. win7, but xp compatibility mode solved it for me. don't see that in vista.

To all of those who refuse to leave XP, get off my lawn, where's my prune juice, back in my day I could buy candy for a nickel, I walked to school up hill both ways, so on and so forth.

Seriously though, you guys are elitist douchebags. I know it's an oxymoron saying the word XP and elitist in the same sentence (because this is usually reserved for the UNIX and Mac crowd), but you managed to bring the title home. Congratulations.

I just moved us over to Win7 from WinXP Pro this weekend and I really like it so far. I like it even more than MacOS 10 which is what I used for the last 2 years.

So far we've had no compatability issues and one thing really stands out:

File transfer speed, on my HP DV6 laptop, is much higher in Win7 than it was in WinXP. I moved my music file from my Buffalo LinkStation in half the time it took previously. Big plus right there.

Vista is the same as Win7. Compatibility mode? That's nice for sure, but I already have a few VM packages, and every O/S I'd possibly want to use.

Considering Win7 is based on Vista anyway I find that statement amazing and completely wrong,as a long term user of both I can say stability on both is and has been excellent,I wish some people would seperate FUD from fact,oh btw I'm long term beta games tester too so don't say the above statement lightly.
