Probally the release date of Metroid and Hyrule Warriors to start.
I'm hoping for a re-release of Super Mario 3D Allstars with Galaxy 2 tacked on for the Mario 40th anniversary, as I never bought it on Switch 1 and there's no way I'm paying $125 for a used copy now. Not expecting too much though as the Odyssey group just released Bananza and Tears of the Kingdom is only a couple of years old. And I don't care about the other Nintendo first party IPs like Smash, Splatoon, Pokemon, Mario Party, and Fire Emblem.

Switch 2 should be called Switch HD Remaster. That's all they are doing.

Charging $70 for 2 Mario Galaxy games is ridiculous lol.

The motorcycle in Metroid Prime 4 looks really out of place and I really hope that means it's not more of an open world game where you have to travel on that thing all over. I know Metroid is semi-open world but I don't consider Metroidvania games open world in general.

And a $100 Virtual Boy "case" and $25 for a literal cardboard box is just ridiculous lol. Who the hell wants to play that crappy system anyways?

What the hell has happened to Nintendo?

Got excited seeing Bananza DLC, then watched a review of it and it's timed challenges. Ugh I hate timed challenges, especially in an open world game. Time challenges and open world together make no sense. Open world games are designed specifically so you can stop and smell the roses and you're not rushed through a linear path.

RE9 looks dope but that's gonna be a PS5 buy most likely. Dragon Quest VII is probably a day one buy which I'll likely get on Switch 2 since it'll probably hold its resale value better than the PS5 version. I love Dragon Quest games and have been holding out on playing VII until there was a good remake.

I'm pretty worried about Metroid Prime 4. It must be in a terrible state bug-wise or performance-wise for its release to get pushed to December. No one wants to release in December when half of us have already done our Christmas shopping. Such a massive red flag for a game that has already suffered such a huge delay. Plus the world looked so sparse in the motocycle trailer.

I tried the original in emulation. It's quite playable, but it definitely reeks of "early PS1/PSX title". You could tell they didn't know what exactly they wanted to do with the platform, cranking out a hybrid 2d/3d mess that's clearly inferior to games like FFVII. The core game is fine, even if the protagonist is probably the least-appealing one from any Dragon Quest game ever.

Metroid Prime is not a series that sells a lot of units, so I don't think Nintendo cares. The whole series, including the Prime 1 remake, is about 8 and a half million in units sold.
