Oh yeah of little faith, Slysoft is but a name. They knew the AACS-LA was coming, they knew it for years. You dont have to be a great businessman to have a PlanB when you know Plan A is going to crumble. :\ Just my opinion, like they used to say on that old TV show " I know nothing"

I ask you again, what makes you think if they are to come back in one form or another and I know nothing , if thats what they will do. That your licenses in their encrypted database would not be legitimate? It may not be, but I chose to see the glass half full.I see that you've edited.

I like SlySoft/Elaborate Bytes and was happy that they were able to go on in one form or another. It doesn't mean I'm not disappointed at the latest turn of events.
Last time they didn't just disappear like this though: they had a message saying that they could no longer offer their products due to recently changed laws in their country (IIRC, Germany?). They pointed people to a "new" publisher who was taking over their product offerings... with a website almost identical to their own but with a fox logo instead of a sheep (obvious relationship is obvious). It was a wink and a nudge.
Look, I don't know if they don't want me saying what they clearly wanted us to know. It sounds like you might know a bit more though.
Companys change hands all the time, they change hands because the other company is worth something and they want to retain their customers.

You are correct. They said and I repeat they said Slysoft is no more, laws in every country are different. Up until now they were were untouchable in Antigua. But the AACS has alot of money and they are relentless. Did you know what they do, is legal in Brazil. Do you think the Russians would just go along with what the USA and the greedy AACS-LA asks them to do? The USA is a great country but they do not rule the world. Again, I can only speculate on what I would do if I were in their shoes. I would have had a plan B, and we havent given them enough time to implement anything yet. Take some time. Lets see how it plays out , then we can come back and discuss this when more is known.
All I can say is " The closer you look, the less you see" A company without vision is a company that will go under as fast as they arrived. You read what is said, and I would admit Slysoftis gone, the Red Fox has eaten his last meal. Maybe a Squirrell will appear with even better programs.

I am just another " Joe" like you. I have no crystal ball. But now their developers do not have jobs , if what you say is true, its over and its not coming back in a way that would allow you to continue to use their software as you always have if you bought a lifetime licence. Wouldnt it be prudent if for nothing else than to make a name for yourself, to give the people that can prove they had a licence, a free licence to your software. This would give you a massive audience immediately. People would say, this must be Slysoft, even its its Dicks Decrypter" Maybe Ill buy a licence, new generation of decryptions are coming. And new generations of people are coming too. A smart man would make a smart decision, I mean what is a license to a software that is already written. Its nothing but a download , an e-mail and a key file. Not much to risk.
