Hmm could have ordered it on Amazon and had it here tomorrow with my gift cards. Maybe I'll just order it and get Zelda later. The kid isnside me misses these type of games.

Edit: got it for $134 with Mario. Forgot I had a lot of amazing gift cards that I never used.

Thinking about getting a switch now. It's been years since I played a Zelda game..I mean over a decade. I see GameStop has the bundle for $359 but I have a $100 Amazon gift card yet Amazon doesn't have the same bundle. Only bundles I see on there are overpriced.

Is Mario odyssey also worth it? I think if I do get one I'll only end up with these two games.
Both games are fantastic, GOTY level.

Anyone else here bought a Labo kit? We picked up the variety kit a few days ago. I didn't expect to have this much fun with it. Was a purchase completely for the kids at the start but I'm having an absolute blast building and playing with each thing.

Mario Odyssey is up there as one of the best games of all time IMO. Zelda is also great and was really fun to play but to me, I prefer Mario over it. Zelda is just a notch under it. It's my favorite Zelda game since Ocarina of Time though, with the A Link to the Past probably being my all time fav.

I loved ocarina of Time. It should be delivered today so I'll probably also go get Zelda. How much storage does the switch have? I have an extra 32 gb sd card I can use. Playing god of war got me into more adventure games which is why I finally got one. Been meaning to play Mario too so this will be nice.

Probably the only two games I'll have for the switch. Maybe donkey Kong later or Mario kart but I dunno if you can play two players with just the two joycons. Never really owned a Nintendo besides super nes before so this stuff is all new to me.

The Switch has about 24 GB of effective internal storage. So, really not a lot at all. If you plan on downloading games I'd recommend getting at least a 64 GB SD card. I use a 128 GB card myself. If you're just going to buy cartridges though, your 32GB card should do fine. You should know though that some games, particularly third party games ie NBA 2K17, LA Noire, Doom, do require multi-GB downloads for full functionality even if you buy them on cartridge.

Oh, and it uses micro SD, not regular SD.

I strongly recommend getting the pro controller. IMO it's probably the best controller ever.

You should check out the e-shop too, there are some good indie games that are like $10-$15 too.

I'm going to try out the joycons and then I'll probably go with the pro controller if I don't like them. Most of the games that I'll play, probably only Mario and zelda will be on disc. Good thing I got a free 32gb micro SD card from microcenter.

Disc? You mean cart, or memory card lol

I dunno what the switch uses. I thought they were discs. I guess they are back to cartridges? I should go pick up Zelda before it arrives. Need to figure out where I'm gonna put the dn thing. Good thing it's small because I wanted to hook it up to my pc monitor since a 4k tv isn't gonna be any advantage.

Mario Odyssey is amazing, definitely! Similar idea to Zelda, where you have a huge open world to explore.

Yeah they are small memory cards, smaller than DS games. Load times are very fast with them too.

Nice I see yea they are tiny. Set it up and letting it charge the controllers now. Going to start off with Mario first. Haven't opened Zelda yet. I wish I had got this earlier so I could take it on flights with me. I like the compact size a lot.

Other than Mario and Zelda (and Golf Story) I've pretty much used mine as something to do on flights or on a train. It makes the time go by so fast. I got DKC preordered and arrives next weekend, but I don't plan on touching it until my flight to the Bahamas on May 12th. It's perfect for flights.

I took mine when I was in line for Avengers Infinity War on Thursday night. Had to get to the IMAX theater over an hour early because seating is first come first served. Anyway that hour felt like 10 minutes while I played Mario.

Mario is very fun I'm making my way through it nicely. I'm gonna try Zelda now so I don't get too bored. Its a a neat little system. I'll probably also end up playing it in bed if I can connect my Bluetooth headphones to it.

Just keep in mind with Mario, the game doesn't really "open up" until you finish the story mode.

Mario Odyssey is one of those games you can come home to after a long day at work and have fun in. Not super stressful, the puzzles aren't going to kill you, it's just fun.

Zelda on Switch, mind you I played around 95hrs of, I loved it, but it's definitely a different animal, more intense, especially in the beginning. You will initially die a lot figuring out how everything works.

Mario Odyssey is definitely the better game to start out on IMO.

I've started Zelda and yea I've died quite a bit of times just exploring. It's a lot of fun and it does take a different style to get used to. Mario is just funny and a pleasure to experience. Some of the levels are neat and the quirky things you can do makes it interesting. I like the touch of retro Mario within the main maps. These twonalone will last me quite a bit.

I still need to go back and get like 60 more moons in Mario at some point to get them all. But it's just a grind to get the last ones which has made me not go back and do it. I wish they put out new worlds for the game. Playing that game for the first time was so awesome. I thought the dinosaur level was such a great starting world too. And damn, they way they play on your nostalgia later on in the game is almost not fair.

Oh I've been collecting moons the whole time. Didn't know that I was supposed to be looking for stars too. I'm at the forgotten island right now but I guess once the story is done there probably is more to do as mentioned earlier.
