Interesting on the zelda release date. I may hit up Amazon chat and see what they say myself.

Edit: Bluetooth costs more money purbeast0. Maybe it the gen2 model. 🙂

Yeah they only other one case molded properly like that is this case:

That one is just too big for me.

And yeah, the Switch doesn't support bluetooth headsets. It is a WTF moment. I plan to buy one of these to use until they get with the program:

The Switch has bluetooth. It has bluetooth 4.0 in hardware. The OS just doesn't let you pair headphones (yet).

Since I ordered the special edition Zelda, it comes with a carry case which is the main reason why I got that version. I'm not a collector so I didn't care about you the master sword statue. It's the Sheikah Slate from the game.

And what the fuck? I just read the Switch does not support bluetooth? I can't use wireless bluetooth headphones with the fucking switch and must plug in a wire?
Yup, it's portable, it should definitely support bluetooth headphones, Nintendo being Nintendo.

That just confirms that Nintendo is going to try to leverage mobile developers as well as traditional console developers. It also pretty much confirms that eventually Nintendo's priority will be to sell this console as a mobile device.

So I ended up getting a new 128GB Micro SD because Wal-Mart has them on clearance for $35 and because I was told that the prices might rise later this year due to shortages of flash memory. As it is the $40 128GB Samsung Micro SD on Amazon has a 1-2 MONTH waiting time.

That's a pretty good price for a 128GB. I got my 200GB waiting for Friday. Friday can't come soon enough. Super excited to play Zelda.

I'm torn between the Hori case and that gray case.

vs.

The Hori one just looks better asthetically and I really don't like the way that gray one looks, just plain and ugly. But I like that it has a zipper pocket for cables and stuff, whereas the Hori one doesn't but it looks like you could fold up the charge cable and put it between that one loop. You also can't see the bottom to see if it has the built in depth for the joycons so they sit flush with the bottom, but from the pics it appears they are flush.

LOL I also just realized that I had the Wii U version of Zelda preordered. Glad I caught that, but now I can't preorder the Switch version. Big F'up on my part but I hope I can pick it up at gamestop or something on Friday. Too bad I won't get the Amazon Prime 20% discount though.

If you don't mind the hassle, you still have the week or two after release to get the 20% discount. You can then return that copy to wherever you bought it at release. It is a bit of extra work to just get $12 though....

Yeah that is true. I'm not sure if that is worth the effort lol. If I wasn't going on vacation Monday I'd just wait till Amazon has it in stock probably. But who knows maybe they get it in stock the next day or so. Otherwise I can just snag it at Best Buy, I see they have it for preorder to pickup on Friday still.

You probably will be able to, Best Buy's around me still show you can pre-order it as well. Beat Buy seemed to have a lot of stock of everything. I missed the Amazon pre-order for Pro Controller. Two weeks later Best Buy still had it for pre-order so I grabbed it there.

But man, the convenience of just getting home and having it and not dealing with a store...

Arrives March 7th if I order it from BB. I'll be in Aruba by then. I'll take the 10 minute drive to Best Buy Friday during work to pick it up most likely.

*sigh*

Haha I know how you feel, the Switch and games are getting delivered to me at work and I just want to go straight home and play but I'll have to stop off at Best Buy too for my controller.

Holy shit the Switch Nindies presentation was amazing:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p-mFODSa2VM&feature=youtu.be

Overcooked, a new Master Blaster, and Hollow Knight? Hell yes! All of those games would be amazing on the system.

I have to say, I think Nintendo is doing a good job going after the developers that the Switch can appeal to. It seemed like they tried to get the AAA western develoeprs to play ball early-on with the Wii U and all they got was warmed over crap from them. With the Switch it seems Nintendo is targeting developers that can give the type of game experiences that Nintendo traditionally offers and if AAA western developers want to also port some old game that is fine too.

This is what Nintendo needed to do and they are doing it. Next stop hopefully is an E3 with the announcement of huge 1st and 2nd party games (ie Metroid and Pokemon) along with VC.

In light of switch coming out, do you think a cheap 3DS is a good option for (ultra) casual gamer now?

There should be tons of good games, and prices are probably plummeting on used devices?

Or....did you pre-order the NES version?

Best Buy's synoposis for the Wii U version is pretty messed-up:
Play as your favorite hero with The Legend of Zelda™ video game for the Wii U. Fans of the old NES game can revisit the original Legend of Zelda™ to gather the eight pieces of the Triforce once again. Set out on original quests as Link in The Legend of Zelda™ video game.

If you just want a cheap console for casual 3DS games I would recommend just getting a refurbished 2DS off of Nintendo's website.
