Ok who's missing?

The performance and the price is a no go for me. For better or for worst I got a Wii U so I'll just get Zelda for that.

Is 1 2 Switch a game or them counting launch titles? The only other game date given is Mario Kart 8 "Deluxe" April 28th.

Pay for online, $80 for Joy Con controllers (or $50 for each half), $70! Pro controller, $90 for a second dock.

This "announcement" didn't have much in the way of announcements other than the extreme bare minimum. No list of games on launch, no console specs, it was like they still are figuring it all out.

They said Mario kart 8 deluxe plays 1080p when docked so it does look like the unit gets a speed boost if it's in dock.

On the flipside, not many people bought a Wii U. I didn't, I thought the controller was a dud from the start.

The fact that I can get basically get the two games I wanted the most for the Wii U (Zelda and Mario Kart) really makes the Switch an enticing proposition.

That's not really a flip side. The flip side would be if Nintendo didn't give the game to the Switch to avoid alienating Wii U owners. If they release it on the Wii U, the game isn't held from Switch owners, there's no negative on that front (since the game's likely done or very close to it for the Switch, I doubt there would be any quality damage to the Switch version). However, saying, in almost exact words, that they intend to put the game on the Wii U so the owners don't feel abandoned, then canceling it, is as bad a job as you can do. Canceling it for the Wii U a while back wouldn't have been as bad. It's that they adamantly said "we won't let you feel abandoned" where is gets really bad.

Literally only four games at launch, four.

And seven more games for launch window, what the hell.

They should have held back launching this thing so they could have at least had a decent selection of games.

I'm guessing this thing will only be marginally better than the U's specs given that it gives up something for being portable and it's debuting only a few years after the U's release. Hopefully the disparity between Zelda won't be colossal. Though I'm guessing it's in sucky 30fps regardless of which system it runs on. *sigh*

And wtf for controller pricing. $80 for the joy cons and that's not even counting the additional $30 for the grip for them to go into.

And don't forget their titles basically never go down in price. This isn't like PS4/Xbone where a big budget game like Battlefront is $20 in a month of release. Games like Mario Kart/smash/new super mario are still going for $60 to this day. The good old Nintendo Tax.

I just pre-ordered. Not very excited, but I get every Nintendo system anyway.

Wondering if I should have pre-ordered the one with neon Joycons.
