there is such thing as a mobile butcher?

A mobile butcher doesn't butcher the animal on the spot. What they do is bring a truck out, shoot the animal in the head, drag it on the truck, then take it back and hang, cut, and wrap it (takes 2-3 weeks from the day they come out until you pick up the meat.)

I bottle-fed them as tiny little calves, so I didn't want to be here to see them done in. Goat's going to my in-laws, Cocoa into our freezer (he wasn't so much a pet as Goat was, and he's mostly Angus, so he's gonna have better meat than Goat, who was mostly Holstein.)

Oh, and a PSA for all of you parents: don't take your kids to Lowe's to pick out xmas tree ornaments at 8 in the morning when you have a hang-over on top of a bad head cold. 🙁
