Good xbox games for younger kids?

I'm thinking about getting an XBox for my kids for christmas. I know there are plenty of games my 9 year old son would enjoy, including the one's included with the holiday bundle. But if I do it, it would have to be a gift for my son and my 4 yr old and 7 yr old daughters. Are there any good games for girls at those ages?
Yeah, I've thought about a gamecube, but I want to play too, and I lean more towards Halo than Mario.😀

Unless you need to play Halo specifically, get the GameCube. Many games are released for all 3 consoles, plus there are plenty of good GC only games including Metroid Prime 1 & 2, Eternal Darkness, Ikaruga, as well as all 8 Mario games, Super Monkey Ball, Pikmin, Super Smash Brothers. I would even consider the PS2 for Ape Escape, Jak & Daxter, Sly Cooper, Ratchet & Clank.

If you want an XBox, get an Xbox. Don't plague your kids with gifts that are ment for yourself. theAnimal speaks the truth. The Xbox simply doesn't have a strong market for games aimed at the younger audiance. If you actually want to get a console for the kids that has games that you can play too, the best choice is the cube by a long shot. Even the PS2 is a better choice, again for the same reasons that theAnimal already listed off.

I'm not "plaguing" my kids with anything.:roll:

My 9 year old son has been asking for an XBox for 2 years and would be absolutely thrilled if they got one for christmas. If I wanted to get my kids a gift that was meant for me, I'd buy them a Radeon 9800 and a copy of Half-life 2.

It would mainly be a gift for him. My daughters aren't really into computer games. But if I get big gift like that, I would like to have it be for all of them, which is why I wanted to know if there are any good games for the girls. There doesn't need to be a huge library of games geared towards younger kids. All I'm looking for is a couple of good ones.

TheAnimal is right. The GameCube is a great kids console. Hell, that's 99% of the Cube's library. 😛 But, if there's something that kids HATE, is getting something they don't want. If your son wants an XBox, definitely get him an XBox. He'd be really disappointed when he opens his present and find a little Fisher Price toy (GameCube) instead of the XBox he was hoping for. 🙁

Anyway, here are a few cool titles for the XBox. Like others have said, the KidCube has more kid titles but I'll give you the XBox games appropriate for kids:

House of the Dead <= Just kidding, scratch that
The Incredibles (looks cool)
Need For Speed series are fun
Tom &amp; Jerry War of the Whiskers (looks interesting)
Shrek: Super Party (If your kids like Shrek, check this game out)
Loons, Fight for Fame (looks like a cool Loony Toons game)

Those are a few titles.

Kids are growing up too quickly... that kid who wants the xbox wants all guts and glory! He wants to go in Halo guns a blazin'! blow some alien heads off. Not Mario Tennis...

Other then that all the kid games for xbox suck unless seriously your kid really wants an xbox for:

Which I doubt cause any kid that says they want an xbox for those games is probably reading the wrong ads or hanging out with the wrong kids at school. Which leaves me to say that your kid is going to want Halo with that xbox or some other game the kids are talking about at school... not shrek super party.

The girls probably would want those games though. So no problem getting the xbox if thats what they want, but i say get a cube with mario kart double dash and 2 controllers its only 99 bucks for that set, it would be cheaper then buying say 2 of those xbox games
