That's a little harsh. I don't use gloves personally. I work with my hands a lot and having them rough comes in handy. And working out with gloves > not working out at all.gloves weaken your grip because they're increasing the radius of the bar, slightly, and because they aren't solid and compress a little reducing the force applied directly to the bar. They also make you look like a tool

When you reach weights worthy of grip use chalk if need be.
It seems my grip is worse when I dont have gloves on. Not sure why but it does.

Why would holding something with a larger radius weaken your grip?
My gym doesn't allow chalk. I mostly don't need gloves except for back. But I definitely have much better grip with them on. Also sometimes my hands get sweaty so it also allows for better grip. Why would holding something with a larger radius weaken your grip?
