Good website content system?

Background first:
I'm gonna be setting up a server for my WoW guild.
It'll be running some of the usual stuff, EQDKP, phpBB, and possibly an FTP.

However, I'd also like some kind of halfdecent looking front site(not terribly important, but you bet someone will ask me for it sooner or later anyway).
Thing is, I suck BADLY at anything involving design, and the rest of the guild is less than skilled in php, CSS, etc.
So I'd need something that can be customized with graphics and stuff, but that people with relatively little technical knowledge can use.
I know about phpNuke, but given it's utterly abysmal security trackrecord, I'd rather use something else.

Anyone?

Oh and this will be tha classic LAMP combination.

[edit2] Oh and I just saw that phpNuke isn't free these days.
While $10 isn't unreasonable, I'd prefer something free, and more importantly, open.

WordPress. www.wordpress.org. You cannot absolutely go wrong with WordPress. It's a blogging "system" but it would work for content management as well. You can also tweak it to your hearts content if you know PHP. Also your host would need to provide a mySQL database. It's really easy to setup, as long as you can follow basic instructions on how to add a user, add a database, add a user to the database, uplaod the files and change some info in the config.php file, you're gold.

In similar situation as Sunner. I'm planning to get my site hosted, and they will provide a mySQL database. Any problems running both "Wordpress" as the front page and "phpBB" as the forum? Do I need more than one db?

I think both WordPress and phpBB lets you define table prefixes in the database.. so it'll go something like wp_<some table name> and phpbb_<some table name>.

So most probably you can get away with only one database.

They were, and a fairly old version too (4.5)

You might also want to look at PostNuke.

I used Postnuke before Mambo and whilst it was pretty decent, mambo (sorry Joomla!) is a lot more flexible and far more active in terms of updates, new bling, patches etc.

But the main thing that sets them apart is the administrator.... Joomla's is absolutely second to none, whereas Postnukes was always a bit basic and very prone to flaking out.

Absolutely - they are both the same software, just that the real devs of Mambo left and formed Joomla because they wanna keep it fully OSS whereas they could see the seeds of commercialisation beginning with Mambo.

So yes I will be supporting Joomla as soon as the 1st really stable build is out.
