Some myspace pages are so annoying I just have the urge to mess with them.

Since meatspin is no longer with us (rest in pieces), anybody know of some fun ways to mess with people's pages?

One thing I found was by posting a huge image, it totally messes up the page's formatting.

Example:
<img******="http://www.danamania.com/temp/dontloadthis.jpg" alt="" />

964 byte image, 10,000 by 10,000 pixels.

Exactly... I personally hate "Myspace" so I never visit the damn site. Best form of protest right there ;-)

So if you do not like them so much why do you have to ****** with other people's pages who do like the damn site? It's almost like saying you like coming here to Anandtech forms and someone hates this forums and every post you make he just craps in your thread just because he hates these forums. I just do not see your logic on how you wanna ruin other people's fun because you just do not like the site.

EDIT - I do not consider what I said thread crapping but constructive criticism...

Well I kinda understand what the guy's thinking. I mean, I hate myspace too. I am a grown man, 26 years old, and my buddies from high school still use this god forsaken site to fulfill their pedophiliac-like needs (they try to meet girls). If it were up to me I would take this damn website out for good. I just dont ever want to hear about or see it again.

It's not the site's fault they are trying to meet girls.

I guess my critique was more on the people than the website. If you're over 20 years old and using this web site regularly, you NEED to get a real life. The internet is not an excuse to be pathetic. Go outside, do something in real life, thats how you meet people.

By all means, lets all keep defending this child-predator-enabling sh1thole of a website though.

if you want to go about it like that, lets destroy the internet, i mean, we got child porn, child predator enabling sites, people can find out how to make weapons and bombs or drugs...damnit, lets blow up the internet pipes!!!

please, like myspace is the only site that does that.

I don't know why people hate on myspace so much.

My wife uses it to keep track of her friends all around the world. Since we move around a lot and so do her friends it is a nice way to keep track and see pictures of all your friends from around the world in one easy to use site.

To me myspace seems like a big joke, that's why I like to mess with family & friends that have serious profiles on there.

Anybody who puts their own personal life out there on a myspace page with their real names and pictures is just asking for identity theft. My own page that I put up got hacked within 2 weeks of having it up.

I like where you're going with this. It may just be that type of day.

Yeah, because everyone that uses MySpace is trying to meet people. :disgust:

I use MySpace to keep in touch with friends from HS or college. Many of them don't keep regular email addresses, so have their profile linked makes it easy to find them. In all honesty, there really isn't a better setup out there.

I hear other people bashing internet forums for many the same reasons as people bash MySpace. Welcome to the internet!

Aye, it is a great way to keep in touch. I went to HS in Texas and my wife in Virginia, we live in Cali now.

Meh, MySpace. I don't use it, or any other social networking site for that matter. My only real problem with is that most of the pages out there are a crime against HTML. It burns my eyes.

To be honest, main reason I put one up was to keep in touch with people that don't regularly check their e-mail accounts, etc.. I never was serious with the page though, especially so after it got hacked. A site that insecure, why would anybody trust their personal information on it? *boggle*

what kind of personal information do you have on there that you would be worried about being stolen?
