1. Put car up on jackstands
2. Duct tape injured arm to a driven wheel.
3. Have assistant start car, put tranny in LOW...no gas
4. As wheel rotates, your arm rotates giving your aching muscles the movement stimulation they need to heal properly.
5. If pain does not subside, place tranny in SECOND gear.
6. Do not exceed 35mph, as loss of arm may result.

YMMV.

you're welcome. :D

Sack up....but seriously you could SACK UP...ok for serious this time, stretch it out for about 30 seconds at a time, don't bounce it or anything just a long stretch at various angles. Keep it warm too, or use a heating pad/heat rub a couple times.

If you think it's inflammed you could ice it. If not, yeah heat and careful stretching but most of all some time to heal.

Nah, that will only make his peck more sore! Well, if she's hot then Sack up anyway and worry about the soreness later. Oh yeah, make sure to really stretch it out but bounce her as hard as you can!

God any second we're going to see a thread stating "OH MY GOD I RIPPED MY ARM OFF WITH MY CAR!@!@!"

You NEED to do a warm up stretch and a COOL DOWN stretch.

A cool down stretch will solve that problem in the future.

I've found that after my thursday shoulder workout at the gym, it helps to hit the bball court and shoot around for a while to let my shoulders settle down. I injured my right one lifting a couple years ago and it still bothers me, so the post-lifting bball helps a lot. I'm TERRIBLE at basketball, but the dribbling and shooting helps to cool down my muscles slowly.

There's an "all natural" creme I'll use occasionally when it's really bad, but I try and avoid it anymore. It's made with capsasian oil (what makes hot peppers hot), and if you put it on right out of the shower, you are guaranteed pure agony for the next 1-2 hours. The oil also doesn't come off your fingers easily, which is very bad if you wear contacts (like me).

It does work though, you just have to follow all the instructions carefully :). I was an idiot and didn't read them, then applied it right after a shower, washed my hands (not well enough apparently) and put my contacts back in. Opps. :Q

Shoulders are an area often if not typically neglected in the weight room. You should be careful, though. Military presses (over the head) can be a real strain. They are more apt than most exercises to screw you up, so be careful with anything over your head especially. In fact, if you have trouble with those you shouldn't do them at all and stick with the other stuff. You might want to avoid maximum extension with bench presses (too far down, that is). There are exercises you can do specifically for your rotator cuff, and most people don't know about them. They are usually neglected. Keeping your rotator cuff in shape helps prevent shoulder problems because it toughens a layer of muscle within the joint that helps prevent impingement. You can use light dumbells or pulleys. I know all this stuff because I had a shoulder problem, saw specialists, physical therapists, etc. Sorry, no humor this morning.

Edit: If you are in the mood for humor, thread Funniest joke you've ever heard is a good place to go! It's darn funny and it also includes a link to the funniest-joke-ever contest site!

Do you stretch after you work out your shoulder? Try stretching after every set.

If it continues go to a Chiropractor (one you trust) or a message therapist.

Cheers,
