Ok. Here's the deal. I currently have pinnacle studeo 8, but i want something more advanced and indepth. I know someone who has final cut pro and I realy like some of its features. Unfortunately, i don't have a mac, but I was wondering if any of the other programs for windows (that cost less then $1000) can match up to (or surpass) final cut pro. Studio 8 doesn't have things like reverse clips, good title editing, advanced timeline, zoom in clips, and all the other nifty things you can do in final cut. I have been looking at Premiere, and Pinnacle Liquid Edition, but I don't know which, if either, would be best.

Also look at Video Vegas. Do a search on this forum and you will find lots of info.

If you are working with smaller videos, I actually love using Flash editing software (Macromedia Flash or Adobe Live Motion 2). Macromedia Flash can import and export video files, and the timeline is excellent to work with. And since it is a Flash design app, you can do alomost anything with it, add text anywhere and anytime, move and resize anything, use "masks" to do some neat effects, etc. You can download the trial version Macromedia Flash, it's fully functional. I have made a few GTA stunt videos using Adobe Live Motion 2 (along with a couple of other programs). HERE is the last video I did.
