I plan on overclocking it to a good balance of thermal loss and performance gain. How far might I expect with the chip/mobo/stock cooling?
Does that case cool well? Is there something else better for less (going for cool + quiet)? Is that 380w PSU enough to have the configuration, let alone overclock? Any other tips, critiques?

THANKS IN ADVANCE!

PS is more than adequate for that rig. You might eventually run into problems when/if you upgrade, however. I would check out a p965 or p35 mobo, you can get a decent board for another $20 or so.

Don't skimp on ram, when the prices are ridiculously low. Get 2gb ddr 800 for 90-100 bucks, it's really worth it. Don't know what kind of games you're gonna play, if any at all, but that videocard will hold you back. The sweetspot of price/performance seems to be around 160$ for a ato x1950pro. And you might wanna get a slightly better motherboard, one that has allready proven itself when it comes to oc-ing, lets say a gigabyte ds3 or asus p5ne-sli for around 100 bucks.

the video card is better than most integrated graphics, correct? I'm actually building enough of these and selling them @ $800 so that I can buy the parts to make one myself.

I read this board had bios support for ddr2-800. It is in one of the settings (although it does not by default support it). would it be worthwhile to overclocking and performance to get this ram instead:

with the current specs, what will most likely crap out first while overclocking? how high does that xms go?
would the xfx 8500 on hot deals yesterday be a much better graphics card?
