needless to say i can't find a way to fix the problem between that damn SB live and Via mobo... need something better

any ideas? the max i can spend is probably around $60
 
MS make a pretty good USB 2.1 speakers (Digital sound system 80). I don't know if you still be able to find it or not, but it sound pretty good that I used for one of my machine.

SB Live! +5.1 & Asus A7V133 work fine together in 98/2k with an assortment of 4-in-1's 😛 You're using some new 4-in-1's, right?
