I use a CMD replacement that was called 4DOS back in the day. Today it is called Take Command by JP Software. Lets you create fancy batch files. I don’t just shutdown Windows. I have a batch file that copies my precious data to another drive based on the day of the week.

Raid gives you a recoverable single copy of data. I prefer to have generational copies of my data across multiple devices.

and why reinvent the wheel? Veeam is free for personal use.

A 2TB boot volume and a 2TB swap volume? Approx 3.5% total utilization? 🙄

System is not fully set up yet. Not using it full time. Still using my Win 10 machine with the mentioned procedure. Just less drives so 2 days get put on 1 drive. New machine will have 1 drive per day.
