Good time to buy oil indexes?

I think the liklihood of a strike is very possible now with a new President in Israel. One could make a nice profit if they invest in indexes such as USO.
If Israel doesn't attack Iran this year then Iran is pretty much guaranteed to have a nuclear bomb before the year is over. Maybe even two.

So is anything going to happen or has all the fear chatter been just to entertain people.

Remember once Iran has the bomb Israel is going to get wiped off the map (according to a lot of people)
The Israeli president himself has said this. If he really believes that then surely he will do everything possible to attack Iran. That or he really doesn't believe it and wanted the U.S to do the dirty work.

Oil prices are reasonable again, and everytime someone sneezes in the ME, even in countries that have no oil, the price of oil might skyrocket. So, in a short, yes. However, it is dumb to put all your eggs into one basket, not matter how good the markets are.

I imagine Oil is a good buy, several influential nations depend on that price going back towards $100.

I think many are worried to not get back in as I would not be surprised to see some new rules put into place for oil speculation.

Things are certain to become more instable, so go for it. But only do 1/2 and the other 1/2 when your definitively wrong. It could take a year, but its only 1 headline from a big rally.

Basing it on Iran is pure gambling, and bad at that imo, but oil has proven it has a lot of resistance going very low after its crash, so buying some oil was great at 35. Even at 44 it's lot bad but it is not going to be 100 in the near future without a war.

BTW check out linn energy (line symbol). They just yesterday reaffirmed they can pay dividends and they have a huge 17% yield.

If you're really believe this, I would step up and skip USO, go directly for DXO and UCO or short DTO, or just straight up open a futures account and long with 10-1 leverage.

edit: fun fact, intrade puts 19% probably iran gets bombed before end of 2009.

Well something is going to happen for fact. But what? When? Lets say this Dec21 2012 is a deadline for all conspirecies. So they would use Bible prophecy to fulfill in their eyes ending time signs. Bible says they well do this in fact. Did Bush FAIL at his Crack at WWO?
