well i'm not a fan of the 5200 Ultra.. and I'm not sure how good the Geil Value Series Ram is for overclocking.. which i'm guessing is gonna happen because you are getting a mobile Athlon..

I read rave reviews on the value series of geil overclocking craploads!! and the 5200 ultra was free somehow...he cant change that...hes gonna use it until he gets something better...

interesting.. might have to check out some of that ram myself than.. oh yeah.. what about case fans? does the X-Dreamer II come with any?

you might want to look at the Abit NF7-S it overclocks quite well and gets great reviews

The reason im not getting the NF7-S is because it requires a neo backplate to install the SLK-947U, that backplate is out of stock everywhere, and i cant find it on ebay, so i went with a just as equally good motherboard that doesnt need the backplate.

well then my friend.. it sounds like you covered everything.. all you have to hope is you get a good Stepping for the Mobile Athlon and your buddy will be all set!


EDIT - the only thing left in question i think is the power supply that comes with the case. It may serve your friends needs fine.. but i like a good brand name one.. like antec..
